Mr. Lance Dubay

Mr. Dubay has served as director of bands in the Roseau Community Schools since 2014. He holds a B.S. in instrumental music education from Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan. Additionally he studied music at Northern Michigan University in Marquette Michigan. While at NMU, Mr. Dubay served as principal tuba player in the Symphonic Band, Marching Band, and Orchestra. He also served as Drum Major in the "Pride of the North" marching band for two seasons. Prior to moving to Roseau Mr. Dubay served as director of the Alger County Community Band in Munising Michigan, and also director of the Superior Shores Chorale, an SSA group also based in Munising. Mr. Dubay has served as an instructor throughout Michigan working with the award winning Petoskey Marching band as well as band programs in Charlevoix, Portland, Ellsworth, East Jordan, Mancelona, Munising, and Detroit. Also Dubay is an active performer, throughout Michigan's upper peninsula.
