The Roseau PTO strives to support and advocate for our children by partnering with staff, families, and the wider community to create a safe and healthy learning environment where students can excel and feel confident in themselves.
How do we help?
Through fundraising programs, we are able to support the school with: field trips, artist in residence teaching, scholarships, support for the local food shelf, extra-curricular activities, student awards for achievements, patrol camp, and teacher appreciation day, just to name a few! Our work goes beyond just raising money, as there are many things we do to help our students, teachers and our community!
How often do we meet?
We meet once a month for about an hour (or less) on the 4th Monday of the month at 7pm in the school cafeteria. These meetings are not mandatory, but are great for you to offer your ideas for improvements and to hear what we have planned.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing! We do not collect money or ‘dues’ for our PTO to function. We are solely a volunteer organization.
How can you help?
We don’t expect a huge time commitment from volunteers. An hour can be a big help to our group and the school, and we have positions and tasks to fit all schedules and interests. Just let us know whether a program, event, or activity interests you and when you might be free to help. (You don’t even have to come to the school or attend a meeting to be involved, although we’d really like to meet you personally!) Check out our signup genius to sign up to help today!
